Energy FormsEnergy is needed to help us accomplish tasks in our daily lives, whether it be electricity to see or food to power our bodies.
Energy cannot be created, nor can it be destroyed. It is simply converted from 1 form to another. EVERY time energy is converted, there is a bi-product of heat (this is thermal energy!) NOTES Read from your text, starting on Page 238 and add to your notes on energy types. |

As we have discussed, there are both positive and negative factors associated with the "use" of both renewable and non-renewable energy.
As Albertan's, the economic ramifications commonly associated with moving away from non-renewables to alternative energy are of critical importance and should be considered. Furthermore, the implementation of alternative energy will require a "cross-over" period, and will still rely on many of our previous industries. At the same time, many individuals believe we have a social responsibility to more strongly consider the environmental impact of non-renewables!
WOW 😮 ... This is far more complex than what we see on social media, isn't it?
This inquiry project allows you the opportunity to investigate one of these energy resources more thoroughly and provide information as to how using this energy impacts us economically, socially, and environmentally!
GOOD LUCK! Have fun, and remember to leave your personal mark on your project; This is YOUR justified opinion (that means you need REAL research to back any claims you make)!
