Safety Symbols
BE CAREFUL The information in the textbook is OUT OF DATE!!! Use the following for accurate information for safety symbols.
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
The Material Safety Data Sheet (or MSDS) is a document that lists important SAFETY information relating for the use of various substances and products. These sheets are commonly used to catalogue information on chemicals, chemical compounds, and chemical mixtures. We see these in the workplace and in the science lab! IN FACT, we have a binder filled with MSDS sheets right here in our classroom!!

Lab Safety Project
There are many rules that must be followed in order to ensure our classroom is a safe place to participate in LABS.
Your Task: Create a lab safety poster for 1 of the rules in the lab. HERE'S THE CATCH - only 2 students can select the same poster, so be sure to have a couple rules in mind before we conference!!! |

Lab Reports - The Scientific Method
You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of lab projects aligned to the curriculum this year. Each student will be responsible to complete a lab report while working on these tasks. Sometimes you will be given a formal outline, sometimes you will be required to fill out a lab report using the guidelines in the document attached. Lab reports can be completed on a device or on paper.
